I’ve got a million things going on each day. Well, not really a million, but sometimes it can feel like it. What a task list does for me is it gives me:
- A list of existing projects I am working on.
- Dates of what went where, have I gotten them back, and what do I need to do to follow up.
- A record of what I’m doing and what I’m working on.
- Notes of processing and issues.
- It’s a great resource in creating a job description and duties reference.

Tracking and managing office supplies can be a challenge at times. There are several things that come to mind when I need to track and manage office supplies.
New Resource Link
In the past, I haven’t posted updates to new links added to the sidebar of Administrative Sparkle. But I do make changes. When I come into information or websites that are beneficial to the profession, I like to share. That’s just who I am.

To pantyhose or not to pantyhose, that’s the question. What’s interesting is that over the past ten years, pantyhose has fallen out of favor. And,I love, love, love pantyhose. Well, maybe it’s a love/hate relationship.
Pre-2000s, it was mandatory to wear pantyhose in the office. It was considered office inappropriate and you would be sent home or to the store for your lack of office professionalism. I remember women sent home for not wearing makeup.

I believe what is on the inside manifests on the outside. You can’t look 20 forever and do you really want to? Age is a gift. It brings with it knowledge, lessons learned, experience, a whole new different way of thinking, and appreciation.
Aging gracefully includes so many things. Starting with what you feed your body. Eating living foods that nourish and give you energy. Provide your body with necessary supplements that keep your mind alert and your body functioning. I take a multivitamin, coral calcium, fish oil, and iron every day.

After gathering research, while trying to limit redundant information, it was my hope to collect a comprehensive outline of what you can do to learn and/or give you a resource to increase or maximize what you already know about analytical skills.

Believe it or not, in any relationship, there is a general unspoken contract with our colleagues, friends, family, vendors, clients, etc. that we hold one another accountable. We should hold ourselves accountable for our conduct in relationships with others as well. Interestingly, this is not always the case and we start to feel like other people actually need to be told what is acceptable and what is not.
With this in mind, I created a Team Contract over the duration of taking college courses and working in teams. Because much of my college work was done online, the team did not meet together in the traditional sense. That can be tough when assignments are due, clarification is necessary, and responsibilities handed out.

Do you put off doing some of the things you know should be done? I have done this very thing! Yes, I am prone to put off doing things that are important and could even smack of self-sabotage to a certain degree. I will tell you what I had procrastinated doing and what I finally did to rectify it. Here is my learning experience and it is possible you can take something away from this, as well as bubble up some “action items” of your own to get you back on your path to success.
Working for the State of California, there are a lot of exams and assessments for array of job classifications and promotional positions. There is a test for everything. The challenge is finding what exams and assessments are available and then determining what you are qualified to apply for.

That’s what I want to know, but I don’t always get feedback. One clue may be when I receive questions about information to clarify what I thought was spelled out. Understand that writing clearly comprises the following guidelines:
- Keep your sentences short.
- Use words of one or two syllables most of the time.
- Write mainly in active voice.
- Avoid starting your sentence with long, dependent clauses up front.
- Start each paragraph with the key idea in a topic sentence.
Do I do this? Well I’m learning.
