I agree Jules. It's all about shaking off your brain when it is just too full. Taking a break, walking away, for a moment, clears a persons head and allows your brain to reprocess the most pressing. Sometimes it can get difficult to figure out what is most important. That is why walking, meditation, exercising, or just getting outside for a moment helps to recalibrate you, get a second wind, and come back in refocused. Thank you Jules for your input and suggestions.
-Layne

Very nice blog. Especially about taking time at the gym. Physical activity like walking, swimming, lifting weights really gives one mental clarity. I used to walk to and from work. About 2.5 miles, I did this every day as soon as the weather got nice. It helped to clear my mind before, and decompress after. One of my jobs I would swim on my lunch hour- amazingly quiet, no demands and I went back to work refreshed. It's not just about weight loss/maintenance-it really helps the mind work better and more organized. I just received an offer and the first thing I did? Got a new gym membership next to my work. If you can't afford one, go for a walk on your lunch hour-I've done that too...

Thank you for such great words. Yes, even I need encouragement. I love that what I write attracts the kind of professionals who desire to do great things, both personally and professionally. Sometimes we need to be reminded to get out of our own way and flip our mindset in order to accomplish our goals and not let our environment clutter our thinking.
-Layne

It is the life of the assistant. We create order out of the chaos that is bombarded on us each day. I give thanks to all the assistants who continue to be the best of the best. The profession as an Executive and/or Administrative Assistant is not for the faint of heart. It is truly a skill and talent to be able to accomplish such a vast array of tasks in any given day.
Thank you for contributing.
-Layne

This is an outstanding article carrying crucial points of top EA situations. The implication of always being positive, taking care of yourself and doing your best every day is so important for your personal success and the happiness of those who you support.
Thank you from the readers perspective and a person who embraces hard work and great outcomes.
