What a great comment and thank you for writing. With change comes experience, challenge, and opportunities. I encourage you to share your journey with the rest of us and we make our way through the maze we call "life." We inspire each other through the good and the bad. We don't have to do it alone, we are among friends and professionals who have been there and can offer words of encouragement just at the time you need it. Good luck on this new venture that you are upon. It should be filled with excitement and new learning experiences that you didn't know.

Smiles,
Layne

Just joined the Admin Pros Group and I'm glad I did! I have been an executive assistant for 14 years, and in administrative/secretarial positions for over 30 years. It is a journey that has been replete with blessings. I have always been the "hub" of the places where I've worked...until this past year. We moved for my husband's work, and I've been working only a few hours each month, remotely, with the office I left behind. It has been an incredible challenge to not have the daily interaction and sense of belongingness.

Your words of encouragement, Layne, have motivated me to be more pro-active and encouraging to those in this community--and wherever I go! 2009 and its failures and successes is gone. I embrace 2010 with a renewed desire to meet my circumstances and opportunities with a greater determination to make a difference in my world. I believe that everything happens for a purpose and that God doesn't waste anything in a person's journey.

I'm looking forward to exploring your links and excelling still more in the work that we've been gifted to do as administrative professionals.

This is a new year and a new decade. Let's be change agents!! :)

Thank you, Layne, for putting yourself out there. You are a great writer, and I enjoyed your New Years post. I agree that New Years should not only be about looking forward, but also reflecting on the past year. I love how you labeled your aspirations for 2010 as goals, instead of resolutions! We all have to keep in mind that reolutions or goals should be attainable, not impossible. I try to set very small "goals" and go from there. Thanks Layne, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
