One additional item, if you have a lot of formulas to protect scattered over the spreadsheet, an efficient way to select them would be to &quot;Select Special / Formulas&quot;.  Excel 2003 choose &quot;Edit&quot; menu then &quot;Go To&quot; and click &quot;Special&quot; button then choose &quot;Formulas&quot; and click &quot;OK&quot;.  Excel 2007 &quot;Home&quot; tab click &quot;Find &amp; Select&quot; then select &quot;Go To Special&quot; choose &quot;Formulas&quot; and click &quot;OK&quot;.  In all versions of Excel, hit &quot;F5&quot; which brings up the Go To dialog box then click &quot;Special&quot; and select &quot;Formulas&quot; then click &quot;OK&quot;.
