I still have folders where I put this stuff. This is the program for you. Put the app on all your devices so you have access to the information no matter where you are. Even if you don’t have access to your own computer, you can still grab your information on any computer by logging in. The advantages of putting information in the “cloud.”

I have Evernote on everything: iPad, computer, and phone.

“Evernote is an easy-to-use, free app that helps you remember everything across all of the devices you use. Stay organized, save your ideas and improve productivity. Evernote lets you take notes, capture photos, create to-do lists, record voice reminders – and makes these notes completely searchable, whether you are at home, at work, or on the go.”

About Layne

Layne has worked in the administrative field for over 20 years, when computers were just starting to be the fixture for every desk, programs and the Internet were in their infancy, and WordPerfect was King. Starting with WordPerfect she learned tips and tricks that made creating and processing documents and information in the office easier, and all this was done with programming code back then. Over the past 20 years, programs have become both easier and complicated and it is for those reasons that Layne loves sharing what she learns with others. Layne has two grown children and lives in the heart of downtown Sacramento, California. She keeps her life simple while writing on her pet website Administrative Sparkle and working full-time with the State of California. Her dream job was to be a school teacher, so she channels that love to teach others what she has learned over the years as a professional administrative assistant.
